The most transforming experience I have had is working in the Equity Research team at Tigress this summer. I analyzed companies’ financial strengths, business scope, and strategic moves based on financial statements and news releases. This internship opportunity gave me valuable exposure to investment banking industry and also the chance to actually work on two live transactions. Higher management are all open to questions and care for our growing. To be more specific, we used three different methodologies to value companies and helped creating the pitch book, finally even got a chance to present to the client. As an Equity Research Analyst in Tigress Financial Partners, I collaborated directly with the Head of Equity Research on financial data analysis and earnings reports for companies under coverage. This internship offered me a great exposure to a variety of industries and a steep learning curve. During my 4-week rotational program, I worked with a cross-functional team on leveraged buyout strategies and faced a challenge where the client moved the deadline early.
